Who this is for

Managing directors, heads of sales, and commercial leads in B2B firms where deals involve multiple stakeholders, technical scoping, and a proposal that takes more than a week to assemble. Typical clients employ between eight and sixty people in customer-facing roles.

Result you can expect

You leave with a written sales process: named stages, what must be true to advance, who owns each gate, and how forecast categories map to those stages. The document is plain language — not a software manual.

Scope

Included

  • Kick-off briefing with the commercial sponsor
  • Confidential interviews with sellers, managers, and one delivery lead who receives closed deals
  • Review of ten to fifteen live opportunities at different stages
  • Draft stage map, then a working session to pressure-test it
  • Final process pack and a ninety-minute adoption briefing

Not included

  • CRM configuration or custom software builds
  • Individual seller performance ratings
  • Outbound lead generation campaigns

Provider and delivery

Led by an Elevation Sales Advisory principal from our Wellington practice, with a second advisor joining larger interview rounds. Workshops can be held at Level 8, 100 Lambton Quay, Wellington 6011, or at your premises in major NZ centres.

Process

  1. Briefing — align on revenue motion, average cycle length, and known friction points.
  2. Fieldwork — interviews and deal sampling over two to three weeks.
  3. Design — draft stages, gates, and forecast language.
  4. Adoption — facilitate the team through the new map and agree a four-week trial.

Preparation

Share anonymised pipeline extracts, a recent proposal pack, and access to the people who own deals. Ask sellers to bring one stuck opportunity to the working session.

Constraints

We need a named sponsor who can decide stage language. If two business units sell in completely different motions, we scope one motion first.

Next step

Request a briefing and tell us your average deal size, cycle length, and where deals most often stall.
